Our Technical Support Department is here to work with you to resolve any problems you may encounter with our product. We have provided this page to help answer some of the most frequently asked questions.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ):

Q: I cannot install the CD product?

A: The CD is not designed to be installed. The program SmartCD.EXE will run off the CD without taking up your hard disk space.

Q: How can I access a program when the RUN and INSTALL buttons are both disabled?

A: If the RUN and INSTALL buttons are both disabled, the program was not intended to run on the current operating system.
for example: A program designed for Windows 95 will not run under Windows 3.1

Q: The graphics are not very clear on my screen. Can I increase the resolution?

A: The CD product is developed at 640x480 in 256 color mode, if your computer monitor is not set for those setting, the images may appear to be fuzzy. To upgrade these video settings, consult your computer users manual or your computer dealer for assistance.

Q: Some games do not have sound, why is that?

A: Our software is setup as a default for Sound Blaster with standard setting. If your sound card is not a true Sound Blaster, you may encounter problems. Even if your card is a 100% compatible you may encounter these problems. The solution is to install the software to your computer's hard drive then run the sound setup program to ensure proper configuration.

Q: I tried running the SmartCD.exe program and my IBM/PC "freezes up", what can I do?

A: With some computers running Window 3.1x, and limited memory configuration, the SmartCD will run into a repeating loop. To break this loop, simply press [CRTL] + [ALT] + [DEL] at the same time. This will bring up a blue DOS screen with further instructions (usually press the [ENTER] key).

Q: I cannot run a program because the RUN button is not active?

A: Some programs require the ability to write to themselves, such as a high score list in a game. Unfortunately it is not possible to write to a CD-ROM (Read Only Memory).

Q: During installation of a program, I receive an error message, "Writing disk error"?

A: This message states that your computer hard drive is full. Remove any unnecessary files to free-up hard disk space to allow the programs to install.
